RCB captain Rajat Patidar has confirmed Phil Salt is available for the game, but a call will be taken by the management. He told reporters, “Salt is fit. He is under observation from the doctor. He has been participating in a few drills but we haven’t decided on our playing eleven yet. We will look at the wicket and decide."

RCB lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 55 runs, but despite that, they managed to finish at the top of the table.

Salt has managed 202 runs in 6 IPL matches, and his return will be a huge boost for RCB, which will need some momentum going into the game. He happens to be RCB's 5th-highest run getter this season. Jacob Bethell replaced Salt at the top of the batting order, but the English player also returned to his country after sustaining an injury.

Venkatesh Iyer auditioned for the opening role against SRH with a clutch 19-ball 44, and if Salt doesn't make it, the former KKR star is likely to fill in his role again.
