At least ten people have died in the accident, according to the officials.
Punjab Kings Pay Tribute To Vrindavan Boat Accident Victims
PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first in Mullanpur. Coming to the match, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head found their groove as SRH ended up piling a mammoth 219 runs on the board. Boat Capsized In Vrindavan On Saturday
Mathura District SP Suresh Chandra Rawat said 22 people have been rescued, and a huge search and rescue operation, including the NDRF and SDRF, has already been launched. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that families of those who lost their lives will receive an ex gratia payment of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Additionally, individuals who sustained injuries will be granted ₹50,000 in assistance.
The accident occurred when a boat carrying more than two dozen passengers struck a pontoon bridge on the Yamuna River near Keshi Ghat in Mathura. Police reported that approximately 25 to 27 people were on board at the time of the collision.
