Mayank Yadav Returns; Abhishek Sharma-Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to Open - Check India's Predicted Playing XI For 1st T20I vs Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe vs India: Following the humiliation in the UK, Shreyas Iyer-led Team India would like to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Zimbabwe at Harare. Considering India have a good record against Zimbabwe, there is little to no doubt that the Men in Blue would start favourites. The Indian team last visited Zimbabwe two years back just after T20 World Cup win in 2024. India lost the opening game of that series, but went on to win the remaining four.

India's Predicted XI

There is no doubt that the management will continue backing young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi despite his failures against England. Sooryavanshi is expected to open with Abhishek Sharma. On paper, the two of them are arguably the most feared opening pair in the world. Ishan Kishan, who has enjoyed success at No. 3 - would occupy the crucial spot in the side. He would be followed by captain Shreyas Iyer and Tilak Varma. Shivam Dube is likely to be part of the side as the allrounder. Rinlu Singh is also expected to be in the XI. He would take on the mabtle of the finisher. 

There could be a toss-up between Harsh Dubey and Ravi Bishnoi. The management would have to make another tough call when they have to pick one from Mayank Yadav and Ashok Sharma. Prince Yadav and Yash Thakur are likely to be in the XI as the pacers. Both sides would like to get off to a winning start.
