Shaheen Afridi BLATANTLY Lies After Caught Ball-Tampering on Camera During PSL 2026: 'Don't Know...'

PSL 2026: Senior Pakistan cricketers Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar Zaman were caught tampering the ball on camera. While this has brought more shame to the PSL, the Lahore Qalandars captain Afridi has blatantly lied. After caught on camera tampering the ball, Afridi, when asked about five-run penalty at the post-match presentation - said that he does not know anything about it. 

Avoiding giving a clear answer, he said his team would return to the dressing room and review the footage to determine whether the ball's condition was deliberately altered.

'Don't know about this'

“I don't know about this, and we'll see if it's there in the camera and discuss what it is. Actually, five runs taken and we can't do anything,” Shaheen said at the post-match presentation.

"We said before and we're telling every day we will fight till the last ball and the team did it. Yeah, I mean, batting was the problem really. 128 obviously not enough runs on the board yet. I mean, the bowlers did their best. No, actually, both batting sides were same, they also struggled, even if it's 128 and you're chasing, you can chase in 15 overs, but it's the same. I'll say our batting was tight and they did it," he said after the win. 

What Exactly Happened? 

Before the final over of the game in which the Kings required 14 runs to win, Shaheen Afridi and Zaman were spotted on camera trying to tamper the ball. Once the umpire spotted it, he asked Zaman for the ball. After checking the condition of the ball, the Qalandars were penalised by five runs bringing the target down from 14 to nine. Eventually, Kings won the game.
