CBSE Results 2026: Trivandrum, Vijayawada On Top. Check How Your District Performed Here | Image: ANI

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced the Class 10 board exam results for 2026. Here is how students from different regions performed in the exams:

Trivandrum and Vijayawada emerged at the top of the list of regions with the highest pass percentage. Notably, both the districts recorded a pass percentage of 99.79%. The two districts are followed by Chennai, which recorded a pass percentage of 99.58%.

List of performance of regions in descending order:

  1. Trivandrum (Kerala)- 99.79% pass
  2. Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh)- 99.79% pass
  3. Chennai (Tamil Nadu)- 99.58% pass
  4. Bengaluru (Karnataka)- 98.91% pass
  5. Delhi West - 97.45% pass
  6. Delhi East- 97.33% pass
  7. Pune (Maharashtra)- 96.66% pass
  8. Ahmedabad (Gujarat)- 96.61% pass
  9. Ludhiana (Punjab)- 95.70% pass
  10. Ajmer (Rajasthan)- 94.78% pass
  11. Bhubaneswar (Odisha)- 94.67% pass
  12. Gurugram (Haryana)- 93.21% pass
  13. Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh)- 92.48% pass
  14. Panchkula (Haryana)- 92.24% pass
  15. Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)- 91.63% pass
  16. Dehradun (Uttarakhand)- 91.59% pass
  17. Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh)- 89.45% pass
  18. Patna (Bihar)- 89.33% pass
  19. Raipur (Chhattisgarh)- 88.41% pass
  20. Noida (Uttar Pradesh)- 87.66% pass
  21. Ranchi (Jharkhand)- 86.18% pass
  22. Guwahati (Assam)- 85.32% pass

Girls Outshine Boys Again

Meanwhile, girls outperformed boys once again, recording a pass percentage of 94.99% against 92.69% for boys. Meanwhile, transgender persons recorded a pass percentage of 87.50%.

This year's pass percentage of girls has slightly dipped from 2025, when 95% girls had passed.

Meanwhile, 92.63% boys had passed in 2025, with transgender persons recording a pass percentage of 87.50% in the same year.

Which School Performed The Best?

Here is the institution-wise comparative performance:

  1. Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV)- Pass percentage of 99.57
  2. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV)- Pass percentage of 91.43%
  3. Government schools- Pass percentage of 91.43%
  4. Government-aided schools- Pass percentage of 91.01%
  5. Private schools- Pass percentage of 93.77%

How Many Students Scored 90% And Above?

A total of 2,21,574 candidate scored 90% and above in CBSE Class 10 exams. Meanwhile, a total of 55,368 students scored 95% and above. A total of 25,08,319 students were registered to appear for the exams.

Overall Pass Percentage Jumps To 93.70%

Notably, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 Board exams has jumped by 0.04% to 93.70% this year. Last year, the pass percentage was 93.66%.

A press release stated, “This year, the pass percentage of students in class X is 93.70%, which is better than the pass percentage of last year i.e.93.66% of 2025 examination. This confirms that students are well prepared for competency-based assessment.”

How To Check Your Results?

There are multiple ways through which students can check their results:

Online Portal: Visit results.cbse.nic.in and enter your roll number, school code, admit card ID, and date of birth.

DigiLocker: Automated marks will appear under "Issued Documents" for those with linked APAAR IDs.

Manual: Scan the board's QR code or log in using your school and access codes.

UMANG App: Log in and select the "CBSE Class X Results 2026" tab to download your scorecard.

SMS: Text cbse10 [roll no] [school code] [centre no] to 7738299899.

IVRS: Call 011-24300699 (Delhi residents can dial 24300699 directly).

The Class 10 examination concluded on March 11, while Class 12 exams are still underway and will be over on April 10. The examination started on February 17 and were conducted across 8,074 centres nationwide.
