UGC NET Dec 2025 Dates Announced by NTA: Subject-Wise Timetable Inside

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the subject-wise dates for UGC-NET December 2025 examinations, which will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026.

UGC NET December 2025: NTA Releases Subject-Wise Dates | Image: ANI

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, has released the dates for UGC-NET December 2025 examination. The agency announced that the examination will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026.

Here are the subject-wise dates of the examinations:

December 31, 2025

Examinations for the following subjects will be held on December 31, 2025 from 9 am to 12 pm:

  1. Law
  2. Social Work
  3. Telugu
  4. Tourism Administration and Management
  5. Spanish
  6. Prakrit
  7. Kashmiri 
  8. Konkani

January 2, 2026

Examinations for the following subjects will be held on January 2, 2026 from 9 am to 12 pm:

  1. Computer Science and Application
  2. Library and Information Science
  3. Urdu
  4. Forensic Science
  5. Bengali
  6. Arabic
  7. Bodo
  8. Human Rights and Duties

Examinations for the following subjects will be held on January 2, 2026 from 3 pm to 6 pm:

  1. Sociology
  2. Psychology
  3. Philosophy
  4. Oriya
  5. Yoga
  6. Punjabi
  7. Social Medicine and Community Health
  8. Women Studies

January 3, 2026

Examinations for the following subjects will be held on January 3, 2026 from 9 am to 12 pm:

  1. Commerce
  2. Sanskrit
  3. Santali
  4. Criminology
  5. Politics including International Relations/International Studies including Defence/Strategic Studies: West Asian Studies; South East Asian Studies; African Studies; South Asian Studies; Soviet Studies; American Studies
  6. Disaster Management
  7. Museology & Conservation

Examinations for the following subjects will be held on January 3, 2026 from 3 pm to 6 pm:

  1. Geography
  2. Education
  3. Folk Literature
  4. Maithili
  5. Indian Culture
  6. Persian
  7. Comparative Studies of Religion

January 5, 2026

Examinations for the following subjects will be held on January 5, 2026 from 9 am to 12 pm:

  1. English
  2. Sanskrit traditional subjects(including Jyotisha/Sidhanta Jyotish/ Navya Vyakarna/ Vyakarna/Darsan/Shukla Yajurveda/ Madhav Vedant/Dharmasasta/ Sahitya/ Puranotihasa /Agama
  3. Anthropologу
  4. Adult Education/ Continuing Education/ Andragogy/Non Formal Education
  5. French (French Version)
  6. Dogri
  7. Russian
  8. Chinese

Examinations for the following subjects will be held on January 5, 2026 from 3 pm to 6 pm:

  1. History
  2. Visual Art (including Drawing and Painting/ Sculpture Graphics/ Applied Art/ History of Art)
  3. Assamese
  4. Tribal and Regional Language/Literature
  5. Archaeology

  7. Rajasthani

January 6, 2026

Examinations for the following subjects will be held on January 6, 2026 from 9 am to 12 pm:

  4. Labour Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Labour and Social Welfare/Human Resource Management

  8. Performing Art- Dance/Drama/Theatre

The notification regarding intimation of City of Exam Centre will be displayed on the NTA website 10 days prior to the examination.
