In a shocker for Kanye West's fans, the singer's show scheduled for May 23 in the National Capital has officially been cancelled. Ticket holders to the concert received a message from the organisers confirming the cancellation and informing them about the refund process. The cancellation comes after the show was first postponed from the original date, March 29, due to growing socio-political tensions.

Official statement of Kanye West's Delhi concert cancellation

On May 15, amid high anticipation for the show, the organiser of Kanye West's Delhi concert, White Fox, took to their official Instagram account to announce the cancellation. A part of the statement read, "We are deeply disheartened to announce that Ye live in India, scheduled for 23rd May 2026 in New Delhi, is unable to proceed due to directives issued by officials." As per reports, a safety concern in the National Capital is being cited as the reason behind the cancellation of the show.

The development comes after fans and concertgoers were already anticipating the update. For days, the showrunners were hyping up Ye's debut show in India. Anticipatory reels and posts teasing the singer's stage and setlist were being posted on official accounts on District until last week. However, fans flagged concerns when a physical ticket did not arrive with less than 10 days remaining for the show.
