In Jolly LLB 3, Akshay returned as Jolly, while Arshad Warsi also played a lead role. The story revolves around the 2011 land acquisition protests in Uttar Pradesh. Released in theatres on September 19, this third instalment of the Jolly LLB series follows Jagdwishwar 'Jolly' Mishra as he defends a powerful political leader in a land-grabbing case filed by local villagers. His rival, Jagdish 'Jolly' Tyagi, represents the complainants. The film features Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, and Amrita Rao once again, with Gajraj Rao and Seema Biswas joining the cast.
