The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Simratt Kaur, Saswata Chatterjee, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Sourav Das, Namashi Chakraborty, Puneet Issar, Rajesh Khera, Priyanshu Chatterjee and Mohan Kapur. The Bengal Files is the third and final instalment in Agnihotri's The Files Trilogy based on modern Indian history, following The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files. The film is reported to earn around ₹2 to 3 crore nett on the first day in India, much lower than what The Conjuring: Last Rites and Baaghi 4 are estimated to earn.
