Veteran Tamil Actress Bindu Ghosh Dies At 73 Due To Prolonged Illness, Condolences Pour In

Veteran Tamil actress and choreographer Bindu Ghosh died at 73 in Chennai on March 16. She was undergoing medical treatment for quite some time, she succumbed to her illness leaving the film industry in shock. She was 76 years old.

Condolences pour in for Bindu Ghosh

Bindu Ghosh was a celebrated actress and has appeared in several south films. She was diagnosed with various health conditions which made it difficult for her continue her acting career. Her admirers took to X and shared posts mourning the loss of such talented artist. One user named Actor Kayal Devaraj took to his X handle and wrote, “March 16th Senior Actress #BinduGhosh Passed away”.

Another user wrote, “Bindu Ghosh passed away due to financial and health problems. Her life is so heartbreaking! She has starred in many movies and how she is in such a predicament”. “Veteran actress Bindu Ghosh passes away at 76, rest in peace”. She lived with her two sons who are also choreographers in Tamil cinema and Telugu cinema.

Bindu Ghosh was a renowned actress and a choreographer who has predominantly worked in Tamil and other languages. Even before her film debut, she had performed a group dance along with Kamal Haasan in Kalathur Kannamma. Later she had appeared in group dance in all Thangappan Master’s films.

She has featured alongside Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Shivaji Ganesan, Mohan, Prabhu, Vijayakanth and Karthik. Bindu has been part of films including Dowry Kalyanam, Thoongathey Thambi Thoongathey, Soorakottai Singakutti, Osai, Komberi Mookkan, Needhiyin Nizhal, Engal Thaikulame Varuga, Solla Thudikkuthu Manasu, Chitram Bhalare Vichitram and Navagraha Nayagi among others.
