Kota Bommali PS on OTT: Srikanth starrer Telugu survival thriller locks Sankranti for digital debut?
Kota Bommali PS released in theatres, late November this year and opened to an underwhelming audience response reflected in its box office collections.
Telugu release Kota Bommali PS made its headway into a relatively unexplored genre in the film industry - survival thrillers. The Srikanth led film released in theatres on November 24 to a relatively lukewarm response. The film largely flew under the radar, collecting ₹ 7 crores domestically with its worldwide collections managing to come up to ₹ 8 crores. The makers of the film are now reportedly gearing up for its digital release.

Kota Bommali PS locks digital debut date?
The makers of Kota Bommali PS have reportedly sold the OTT rights of the project to streaming platform Aha. The tentative release date of Kota Bommali PS will be in early January. Though an official confirmation from both the makers as well as Aha is still awaited, the tentative date being floated for the film's digital debut is January 12.
The film has been directed by Teja Marni. It stars Meka Srikanth, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Rahul Vijay. The film has been written by Nagendra Kasi in collaboration with Teja Marni. The basic premise of the film follows a police officer who finds himself on the run after being framed by a politician for a serious crime.
Kota Bommali PS may be looking at an OTT clash with Salaar
Recently, there have been reports of the makers of Salaar having already locked in its digital release date, amid the Prashanth Neel film's power-packed box office run. As per these reports, Salaar, the digital rights of which have been reportedly sold to Netflix for a whooping ₹162 crores, the film is eyeing a release on January 12.

Interestingly, as Prabhas' Salaar marks its reported OTT debut, the actor will be seeing through the release of his pan-India project - the Nag Ashwin helmed Kalki 2898 AD.
