Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi are set to embrace parenthood as the actress is expecting her first baby. The couple shared a joint post announcing pregnancy with an adorable photo. The couple got married in an intimate wedding ceremony on November 1, 2023, in Tuscany, Italy.

The couple took to Instagram and shared a post that shows them holding hands with woollen baby mittens. In the caption, they wrote, "Life’s most beautiful role yet - Coming soon." The couple is expecting their firstborn after over a year of marriage.

Soon after the couple dropped the post, their friends and fans flooded the comment section, sending best wishes to the couple. Their sister-in-law Upasana Konidela commented, "Best news. ❤️ sweetest parents to be." Kajal Aggarwal wrote, "Big congratulations! Lots of love to all three of you!" Another sister-in-law, Sneha Reddy, Allu Arjun 's wife, simply wrote, "Congratulations." Rakul Preet Singh wrote, "Omgggg congratulations, followed by heart emoticons ." The couple began dating on the sets of Mister in 2016 and kept their relationship under wraps until their wedding neared. Their wedding was not less than a luxurious event which was attended by the family and close friends, including Niharika Konidela, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan-Upasana, Allu Arjun-Sneha, Sai Dharam Tej and Pawan Kalyan.

In Hyderabad, they hosted a mega reception which was attended by who's who of the entertainment industry, including Naga Chaitanya, Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna.

The actor was last seen in the 2024 film Matka, which earned negative reviews from the critics and audience. The actor is yet to announce his next project officially.
