Bank Robbery In J&K: Police Arrest Two, Rs 14 Lakh of Looted Money Recovered
Two persons have been apprehended or allegedly robbing Rs 19.51 lakh from a bank in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district, police said.
Jammu: Two persons have been apprehended or allegedly robbing Rs 19.51 lakh from a bank in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district, police said on Thursday.
Police officials said that Rs 14 lakh of the stolen money has also been recovered based on the information provided by the arrested individuals.
On February 3, the branch manager of a bank in Dachhan registered a complaint about a robbery of Rs 19,51,600 (Rs 19.51 lakh) by unidentified assailants.
Two Arrested in Bank Robbery Case
An FIR was filed at the Dachhan police station, and an investigation was launched, police said.

The investigation is ongoing to recover the remaining money, officials added.
The accused had attempted to destroy evidence by burning their clothes, shoes, and the bag containing the stolen cash, the officials said.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway, cops said.
