Begusarai Bihar Election Result 2025: NDA Wins 5 Of 7 Seats, Pushes Mahagathbandhan To 2 Seats

Begusarai Bihar Election 2025 Result Declared: The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the result of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, declaring NDA candidates winners on 5 of 7 seats in Begusarai District. The winners lists are as follows: 

In Cheria Bariarpur, JDU’s Abhishek Anand (75,081 votes) defeated RJD’s Sushil Kumar (70,962 votes) by a margin of 4,119 votes.

In Bachhwara, BJP’s Surendra Mehta (100,343 votes) defeated Congress’ Shiv Prakash Garib Das (84,502 votes) by a margin of 15,841 votes.

In Teghra, BJP’s Rajnish Kumar (112,770 votes) defeated CPI’s Ram Ratan Singh (77,406 votes) by a margin of 35,364 votes.

In Matihani, RJD’s Narendra Kumar Singh alias Bogo Singh (117,789 votes) defeated JDU’s Raj Kumar Singh (112,499 votes) by a margin of 5,290 votes.

In Sahebpur Kamal, RJD’s Sattanand Sambuddha alias Lalan Jee (76,798 votes) defeated LJP (RV)’s Surendra Kumar alias Surendra Vivek (61,077 votes) by a margin of 15,721 votes.

In Begusarai, BJP’s Kundan Kumar (119,506 votes) defeated Congress’ Amita Bhushan (88,874 votes) by a margin of 30,632 votes.

In Bakhri, LJP (RV)’s Sanjay Kumar (98,511 votes) defeated CPI’s Suryakant Paswan (81,193 votes) by a margin of 17,318 votes.

In Cheria-Bariarpur, JD(U candidate Abhishek Anand is currently leading with 59,420 votes, holding a narrow margin of 562 votes over RJD’s Sushil Kumar, who has secured 58,858 votes. The contest remains extremely close as counting progresses.

In a dramatic shift during the counting in Begusarai, BJP candidate Kundan Kumar has surged ahead with 57,606 votes, taking a lead of 1,006 votes over Congress’ Amita Bhushan, who now trails with 56,600 votes. Surendra Kumar Sahani of the Jan Suraaj Party remains far behind at 3,292 votes, leaving the contest firmly between BJP and Congress as the margin continues to fluctuate.

In Begusarai’s seven assembly seats, the NDA is ahead in five constituencies while the Mahagathbandhan leads in two, with no wins declared yet. The BJP has taken leads in Bachhwara, Teghra, and Begusarai, JD(U) in Cheria-Bariarpur, and LJP (Ram Vilas) in Bakhri (SC). The RJD is leading in Matihani and Sahebpur Kamal, keeping the contest alive. Compared to 2020, when CPI held two seats, RJD two, BJP two, and LJP one, the NDA has expanded its footprint this time, showing stronger gains in Begusarai.

At the end of Round 12 out of 28 in Begusarai, the contest remains razor-thin. Congress candidate Amita Bhushan is currently leading with 49,347 votes, holding a narrow margin of just 374 votes over BJP’s Kundan Kumar, who has polled 48,973 votes so far. Meanwhile, Surendra Kumar Sahani of the Jan Suraaj Party trails far behind with 2,964 votes, leaving the fight firmly between Congress and BJP as counting continues.

Indian National Congress candidate Amita Bhushan is leading with 46,076 votes, ahead by 1,724 votes over BJP’s Kundan Kumar (44,352 votes), while Jan Suraaj Party’s Surendra Kumar Sahani trails with 2,661 votes.

In Matihani, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Narendra Kumar Singh alias Bogo Singh is leading with 54,009 votes, ahead by 16,635 votes over Janata Dal (United) candidate Raj Kumar Singh, who has polled 37,374 votes. In another constituency, Amita Bhushan of the Indian National Congress is leading with 35,184 votes, holding a margin of 4,939 votes against BJP’s Kundan Kumar, who has secured 30,245 votes.

JD(U)’s Abhishek Anand is ahead in Cheria Bariarpur by 3,144 votes over RJD’s Sushil Kumar (26,116), with Jan Suraaj’s Mritunjay Kumar at 7,754 and other candidates trailing far behind.

In Begusarai (Bihar), Amita Bhushan of the Indian National Congress is leading with 20,129 votes, holding a narrow margin of 462 over Kundan Kumar of BJP at 19,667, while Surendra Kumar Sahani of Jan Suraaj Party trails far behind with 1,207 votes. Known as the “Leningrad of Bihar” for its strong leftist legacy and history of trade union and communist movements, Begusarai has long been a center of political activism, making today’s razor-thin contest especially significant.

Early trends from the constituency show Sattanand Sambuddha alias Lalan Jee of RJD leading decisively with 17,974 votes, holding a margin of 9,092 over Surendra Kumar alias Surendra Vivek of LJP(RV), who has 8,882 votes.

Early trends from Bachhwara Constituency show Surendra Mehta of BJP leading with 19,844 votes, holding a margin of 2,060 over Shiv Prakash Garib Das of INC, who has 17,784 votes. Abdesh Kumar Rai of CPI follows with 4,395 votes, while Ramod Kumar of Jan Suraaj Party (1,530) and Bipeen Kumar (Independent) (403) trail far behind.

Early trends from Begusarai show Amita Bhushan of INC narrowly leading with 12,460 votes, just 462 votes ahead of Kundan Kumar of BJP at 11,998. Other contenders — Surendra Kumar Sahani (Jan Suraaj) 671, Md Saddam Husain (Ind) 345, Vijay Kumar (Ind) 128, and Mira Singh (AAP) 108 — are far behind. In 2020, Kundan Kumar (BJP) had defeated Amita Bhushan (INC) by 4,554 votes, making today’s razor-thin margin a sharp reversal and one of the closest battles in Begusarai.

In Matihani (Assembly Constituency 144), Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Narendra Kumar Singh alias Bogo Singh is leading with 12,455 votes, holding a strong margin of 6,341 over JD(U)’s Raj Kumar Singh who has 6,114. Other contenders including Arun Kumar (Jan Suraaj Party), Vikash Kumar (Independent), Devanand Raut (Samata Party), and Rakesh Kumar are trailing far behind in the early rounds.

In Teghra, BJP’s Rajnish Kumar is leading strongly with 10,410 votes, holding a margin of 7,209 over CPI’s Ram Ratan Singh who has 3,201. Other candidates, including Ram Nandan Singh (Jan Suraaj Party), Sudha Bharti (Independent), Mohammad Sakil (BSP), Avadhesh Kumar (Janta Kranti Party), and several independents, are trailing far behind, reflectingthe BJP’s clear early advantage in the constituency.

In Bachhwara, Shiv Prakash Garib Das of the Indian National Congress is leading with 4,074 votes, holding a margin of 605 over BJP’s Surendra Mehta who has 3,469. Abdesh Kumar Rai of CPI follows with 894 votes, while candidates from Jan Suraaj Party, AAP, and several independents are trailing far behind in the early count.

In Begusarai, Amita Bhushan of the Indian National Congress is leading with 4,244 votes, ahead of the BJP’s Kundan Kumar, who trails with 3,683. As counting of votes for all 243 constituencies in Bihar got underway amid tight security, early trends showed the NDA leading on 53 seats, the Mahagathbandhan ahead in 29, and Jan Suraaj gaining ground on two. Outside Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Patna residence, posters declaring “Tiger abhi zinda hai” reflected JD(U) workers’ confidence in his leadership, even as the Election Commission extended prohibitory orders in the district to maintain law and order during the crucial verdict.

In Begusarai, BJP’s Kundan Kumar is leading, while rivals from INC, BSP, JSP, AAP, JSJD, SMP, SUCI, and several independents including Arun Kumar, Md Gaffar Khan, Pinki Sinha, Manoj Kumar, Vijay Kumar, and Md Saddam Husain are trailing. The overall trend highlights BJP’s edge in the constituency as others struggle to gain ground.

RJD is leading from the Bakhri seat in Begusarai, while NDA is ahead on 40 seats across Bihar.
