New Delhi: BJP Yuva Morcha held a protest outside Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's residence in New Delhi on Friday after Congress workers staged a ‘shirtless’ protest at the AI Summit being held at Bharat Mandapam. The demonstrators raised slogans like “Rahul Gandhi Murdabad” and burnt an effigy of the Congress leader.
A BJP youth leader said, “Rahul Gandhi and his followers always try to create obstacles in whatever work Modi ji does.” The demonstrators were demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi after Youth Congress workers barged into the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and staged a shirtless protest while raising anti-Modi slogans at the high-security venue.
Police were deployed to the scene and the protesters were detained.
In a post on X, the Indian Youth Congress said its workers were protesting against a “compromised Prime Minister who has traded the identity of the country at the AI Summit.”
Meanwhile, the X handle of BJP Delhi stated that the nation will never forget the “shameless” act of the Congress. It added, “Time and again, the nation ask how low Congress can stoop. And every time, they shock us with a new level of shamelessness. This time, their conduct has crossed all limits. At a moment when India is hosting a historic global event under the leadership of PM Modi, these shameless traitors went topless to protest.”
The party added, “Their hostility towards PM Modi and India seems to know no limits. Instead of standing united for the nation, they opted for actions that cast a shadow over India’s moment of pride.”
