Bomb Threat Email Triggers Evacuation At 4 Courts In Mumbai

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court received a bomb threat via email on Thursday. Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar asked judges to vacate the court rooms following the threat. 

Emails threatening to execute blasts at various courts in Mumbai were received today, following which the court complexes at Andheri, Bandra and Esplanade were vacated. Court work has been discharged for the day and bomb squads have reached the courts.

The Mumbai Police have launched an investigation to trace the sender of the threatening email, to determine its origin, the identity of the sender, and the motive behind it.

The premises of the Bandra court were searched, but nothing suspicious was found.

'Blast At 2 PM': Email Sent To Nampally Court

The Nampally Court in Hyderabad also received a similar bomb threat email on Thursday morning. The email stated that a bomb would explode at 2 pm on the court premises. Bomb squad and dog squad personnel are conducting checks inside the court.
