Grenade Threat to Ram Mandir? Suspect Nabbed in Faridabad, Targeted Ayodhya: Sources

Faridabad: A man arrested with two hand grenades in Faridabad had reportedly targeted the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, according to sources. The suspect, identified as Abdul Rehman, was taken into 10-day police custody by the court in a joint operation by Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Faridabad Special Task Force (STF). He was produced in Faridabad court today.

The grenades were defused after his arrest on Sunday, and he was later taken to Gujarat for further interrogation. Officials revealed that radical material was also recovered from him.

Terror Links Under Investigation

According to sources, the Gujarat ATS is still conducting operations related to the case. Investigators are probing Rehman's terror links, and his possible involvement in a larger conspiracy.

A security official stated, "The interrogation is focused on his handlers, possible targets, and any network he was connected with."

High-Level Operation Led by Central Agencies

The Gujarat ATS, with help from central agencies, executed the operation in Faridabad, leading to Rehman’s arrest. The authorities are also investigating whether other suspects were involved.

Rehman was receiving terror training from Pakistan  

Sources have revealed Republic Media Network that terror suspect Abdul Rehman, who became a member of the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), was receiving online training from Pakistan on how to handle AK 47 assault rifle.

Abdul Rehman had a wooden AK-47 as he was learning to operate assault rifle. All the processes were handled by ISI operatives across the border. Once the Pakistan handlers realised that Rehman had been radicalised, they decided to give him this plot to target the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, sources said.
