Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologized for arriving late at the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal- Here's Why. | Image: BJP/X

Bhopal: At the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologized for arriving late. In his address, he stated, “I delayed the plan a bit so that students appearing for Class 10 and 12 board exams do not get late due to security reasons.”

A day before the event, upon learning that the Madhya Pradesh Board exams for Classes 10 and 12 would begin on Monday, PM Modi adjusted his schedule for the inauguration of the Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Bhopal, delaying it by 15 minutes.

As per the original schedule, the Prime Minister was supposed to leave for the event at 9:45 a.m. on Monday. However, considering that the annual board exams began today, he rescheduled his departure to 10:00 a.m.

PM Modi took this decision to ensure that students were not affected by security arrangements and could reach their examination centers without any inconvenience.

“Keeping students’ interests as a priority, the Prime Minister extended his schedule by 15 minutes, setting the event at 10 a.m.,” the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office stated.

“This decision reflects the Prime Minister’s thoughtful approach in ensuring that students’ academic schedules remain unaffected,” the statement further read.

CM Mohan Yadav Lauds PM Modi’s Thoughtful Gesture

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav appreciated PM Modi’s gesture, calling it a thoughtful move in the interest of students. He praised the Prime Minister’s sensitivity and concern for students, saying it has always been an inspiration.

He further highlighted various initiatives like the “Pariksha Pe Charcha” program introduced by PM Modi, which aims to support students in their academic journeys.

The Prime Minister arrived in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday and laid the foundation stone for the Shree Bageshwar Medical Sciences and Research Institute, which will include a cancer hospital in Chhatarpur. He is also scheduled to attend a few other events in Bhopal.
