Grok, the AI chatbot on Elon Musk's X, has attributed the 1947 partition of India to both Congress and Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
New Delhi: Grok, the AI chatbot on Elon Musk's X, has attributed the 1947 partition of India to both Congress and Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The chatbot, which has gained widespread attention for its bold responses on various topics, emphasized that Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi were overly focused on centralizing power, which contributed to the increasing divide.
Grok Blames Congress, Jinnah For Partition
According to the Grok, British Colonial Rule, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Congress, Lord Mountbatten, Communal Tensions and Violence, Political Negotiations and failures were among the crucial factors responsible for the partition
“Leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi, representing the Congress, initially sought a united India with secular governance. However, their inability to fully accommodate Muslim League demands and their focus on centralized power contributed to the growing divide,” replied AI Chatbot when asked who was responsible for the partition.
Was Gandhi Responsible For Partition?
However, Grok refused to pin the blame on Mahatma Gandhi. “Gandhi opposed partition but could not prevent it,” the chatbot said.
Grok on Jinnah’s Role in Partition
The AI Chatbot said that Jinnah was a pivotal figure advocating for a separate Muslim state. He argued that Muslims, as a distinct religious and cultural community, could not safeguard their rights in a Hindu-majority India.
“His push for Pakistan, crystallized in the 1940 Lahore Resolution, was instrumental in the partition,” it mentioned.
