Mali's father who has been left heartbroken with the news, has shared the final conversation he had with her before the tragic incident.
In a phone conversation with him, Mali told her father, Shiv Kumar Mali, that she would call him after reaching her hotel in Nanded. “Yesterday, she called me and said, ‘Papa I would go to Baramati with Ajit Pawar. From there I will go to Nanded and will speak to you after checking into a hotel.’"
While talking to the Republic, the devastated father, Shiv Kumar Mali, said that he got to know about the tragic news though television.
Pinky Mali was a resident of Bhaisa village in Kerakat Tehsil of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. She lived with her family in Worli, Mumbai. Her father is a member of the Shiv Sena party.
Ajit Pawar, the 66-year-old Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, died when his plane crashed on Wednesday morning. The aircraft, a Learjet 45 operated by a private aviation firm, was on a scheduled flight from Mumbai to Baramati when it met with the accident during the landing phase. Ajit Pawar was travelling to Baramati for official engagements.
The aircraft was carrying five people, including Ajit Pawar, his Personal Security Officer, Vidip Jadhav, aircraft attendant Pinky Mali, pilot Captain Sumit Kapur and co-pilot Shambhavi Pathak.
