Did A Private Jet Crash Into A Hillside In Chhattisgarh? | A Fact Check

Jashpur: Hours after reports circulated on social media that a private aircraft crashed into a hillside in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district, the Chhattisgarh government has debuncked such claims.

“Some news channels and web portals have reported a plane crash in the Narayanpur hills in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district. There are no reports of such an accident,” the Chhattisgarh government said in a statement.

The reports mentioned that the jet had reportedly come down after it hit a tree in a forested area. Visuals from the spot showed thick smoke from the site at the hillside in the Jashpur-Narayanpur region. 

It was not clear about the occupants in the ill-fated aircraft at the time of the incident.
