Anushka Sharma to be Present For Virat Kohli in Dubai on Landmark 300 ODI Match During CT 2025 Clash vs New Zealand - REPORT

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: It would be a special occasion for Virat Kohli when he steps on the field on Sunday for the CT 2025 match versus New Zealand. The game as such will not have a major impact on the tournament as both teams have qualified, but for Kohli, the occasion is big. 

The premier batter of India, Kohli, would be featuring in his 300th ODI match when India take on New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. By featuring in the game, Kohli will become only the seventh-ever Indian to achieve the feat. To make the occasion more special for the former India captain, actress Anushka Sharma would be present at the venue to root for her husband. Not just Anushka, Kohli's brother Vikas would also be present.

"Anushka Sharma and Vikas Kohli (Virat Kohli's elder brother) will reach Dubai tomorrow for Virat Kohli's 300th ODI match," sources said.

Kohli in Purple Patch

Kohli has certainly hit a purple patch in Dubai in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025. Kohli, who was not in the best of form, hit a surreal match-winning hundred against arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai to power India into the semi-final. Given his confidence, he would be looking for another big score in the landmark game in front of his family. Also, people who know Kohli and have been following him for a while would know he loves the big occasion. So yes, the Kieis would like to see the back of him quickly today.

Team India vs New Zealand

The Indian team is reportedly set to rest a couple of players ahead of the semi-final. It is believed that Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami would miss the game and Shubman Gill would be in charge of the side. It is also believed that Rishabh Pant would replace Rohit, while Arshdeep Singh would take Shami's spot for the game.
