'Hitman Comes Home!': Captain Rohit Sharma Lands In Mumbai Following India's Famous Win Against New Zealand In CT 2025 Final

India got a massive win over New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final. The Men In Blue, who played all of their matches in Dubai, reached the final undefeated after they ran through the competition. India faced New Zealand in the final which took place at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. The star in the final was Indian Captain Rohit Sharma who played an important knock of 76 off 83 balls. India lifted the famed ICC trophy for the third time in its history. As the massive tournament was done and dusted, the Indian contingent is starting to return home as champions. 

Rohit Sharma Returns Home After Famous Win

Indian Captain Rohit Sharma has landed in Mumbai after India's historic win against New Zealand in Dubai. The Indian Captain landed at around 9 pm IST at the Mumbai Airport. He was accompanied by his wife Ritika Sajdeh and his newborn son Ahaan as it can be seen in the visuals. 

Rohit Sharma can be seen wearing a plain black t-shirt and a blue hat as he landed in India after defeating New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy final.

Rohit Sharma Quashes Retirement Rumors 

Ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy final, there were several reports and rumours making rounds that the 37 year old Indian Captain might be retiring from the 50-over format. After India's win over New Zealand in the finals, Rohit Sharma took the opportunity during the post-match press conference to quash the rumors that he might be retiring from the white ball format. 

"One more thing, I'm not going to retire from this format, just to make sure that no rumors are spread moving forward," said Indian Captain Rohit Sharma towards the end of the press conference. 

Rohit Sharma had announced his retirement from the T20 format back in 2024, immediately after India won the ICC T20 World Cup . The former Mumbai Indians skipper also became the first Indian captain who guided Men In Blue to two ICC titles without losing a single match. Rohit will be next seen in the IPL when MI will face CSK at the Chepauk Stadium on March 23.
