Champions Trophy 2025: Rachin Ravindra displayed that he was all class when New Zealand locked horns against South Africa in the second semifinal of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The New Zealander made history and joined the ranks of some elite cricketers in the game. Rachin was quick to serve a sensational innings with the bat, and it helped propel the Blackcaps' case to guarantee their spot in the final. The all-rounder delivered a record-setting knock, which earned him a place among the legends.

Rachin Ravindra was introduced to the world in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023, and the all-rounder made an instant impact in the realm of cricket. The New Zealander has become one of the team's top prodigies and has cemented his spot in the big leagues at an early age. The all-rounder's capacity to deliver with the bat and the ball has stood out among the fans. Rachin continued to impress in the white-ball format when New Zealand competed in the ICC Champions Trophy, and he joined an elite list of batters featuring former India skipper Sourav Ganguly and Shikhar Dhawan, among others.

New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra secured his fifth ODI ton in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and has become the eighth batter to score multiple tons in one edition of the marquee ICC tournament. He has now joined Sourav Ganguly, Saeed Anwar, Herschelle Gibbs, Upul Tharanga, Shane Watson, and Shikhar Dhawan on the list. All of the aforementioned names have two centuries, while Chris Gayle tops the list with three tons to his name.

Rachin is the first-ever New Zealander to etch his name among the elite list of cricketers, and he did it at the age of 24. He already holds the record for having the most hundreds for the Blackcaps in the ICC tournaments.

New Zealand Set Up Exciting CT Summit Clash vs Team India 

New Zealand's top-order delivered a spectacular showcase after they batter first against South Africa at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Rachin Ravindra's 108 off 101 balls and Kane Williamson's 102 off 94 deliveries elevated the Blackcaps to a formidable score of 362. For South Africa, skipper Tamba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen fueled the excitement with their exciting partnership, while David Miller secured a sensational ton off 67 balls. But that was not it, as the Proteas Men fell 50 runs short of the target.

The WTC 2021 Final will be revisited, but it will be in the white ball format as New Zealand have set a date with the Rohit Sharma-led Team India on March 06, 2025, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the UAE.
