Champions Trophy 2025, IND vs PAK: Team India continue their reign of domination in the ICC Champions Trophy as they have defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the Group Stage match at the Dubai International Stadium. The Men in Blue's clinical effort with bat and the ball turned out to be pivotal for the side as they efficiently kept Pakistan at bay. Despite the loss of skipper Rohit Sharma and the in-form Shubman Gill, the Virat Kohli -Shreyas Iyer partnership soared through the opposition as India secure their second win at the Champions Trophy.

Virat Kohli's Masterclass Leaves Pakistan Red-Faced

Virat Kohli's masterclass against Pakistan continued as the star batter hits his 51st ODI ton and ended the match with a win for Team India. With Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer's effective knocks, Team India chased down the underwhelming target of 241 set up by Pakistan. Skipper Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Hardik Pandya also made brie appearances and delivered some big shots before getting dismissed. The PAK bowling attack managed to scalp wickets but the damage was already done by Virat.

Pakistan In A Trench After Subpar CT Run

As Pakistan batted, a confident Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq looked to maintain command of Team India. The hosts appeared balanced in the opening power play, but Team India took some crucial wickets to maintain their momentum in the game. Hardik Pandya took out Babar, and Axar Patel's bullet-of-a-throw dismissed Imam via run-out.

Skipper Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel attempted to gain an advantage with the bat, but they continued to play slowly against the opposition. Both players scored well, with Shakeel scoring 62 and Pakistan's captain scoring 46. Khushdil Shah then scored some crucial runs to boost Pakistan's score in the lower order. Team India limited the CT hosts to 242 runs, credits to their precision throwing and supreme fielding skills. Pakistan's chances to qualify for the Champions Trophy semi final have severely dropped.
