'They Should Win The Champions Trophy': Former Cricketer Goes All In On India, Claims Rohit And Co. Favourites To Win CT 2025

India have confirmed their berth in the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy following their six wicket win over Pakistan on Sunday.

After a lot of controversy, the ICC Champions Trophy is finally underway with India showing good form in the tournament. India who refused to travel to Pakistan for the tournament are playing all of their matches in Dubai. India have so far played two matches in the tournament and have managed to win both of them. India's first match was against Bangladesh and thanks to a glorious outing from batter Shubman Gill, India were able to come out on top. Following this, India faced arch-rivals Pakistan. 

The match against Pakistan was also won by India as star batter Virat Kohli scored a century in a successful chase of 242. With the win against Pakistan, India booked their berth in the semi-finals whereas host nation Pakistan were eliminated from the tournament. 

Former Cricketer Claims India Favourites To Win CT 2025 

Former Indian cricketer and current coach of the UAE team, Lalchand Rajput believes that the Indian team should win the Champions Trophy in easy fashion. He believes that the current Indian Cricket Team is ruthless and with the way they are playing, the tournament is theirs for the taking.

"This Indian team looks ruthless. They try to dominate and win every game. They don't want to give the opponents a chance to come back into the game. That is the attitude. And the way they are playing, I think they should win the Champions Trophy convincingly," said Lalchand Rajput while speaking to PTI. 

Lalchand Rajput Calls Virat Kohli ‘Big Match Player’ 

Lalchand Rajput also had a lot of praise for star Indian batter Virat Kohli following his century against Pakistan. Virat Kohli had scored 100 off 111 balls to help India chase down the target of 242 and was given the man of the match award for the same. Lalchand Rajput called Virat Kohli a ‘big match player’ as he heaped praise on the batter.

"I think Virat played a fantastic innings, you know, and he showed his class. We always think of King Kohli, I think he proved again. Big match, big match temperament. Big match player," said Lalchand Rajput about Virat Kohli.

India will play their final group stage match on 2nd March 2025 when they take on New Zealand.
