Chennai Super Kings will open their IPL 2025 campaign against Mumbai Indians on March 23. Both teams failed to reach the IPL playoffs last season and share a fierce rivalry on the pitch.

CSK have overhauled their squad at the IPL 2025 mega auction and have bolstered their spin department with the addition of Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Gopal and Noor Ahmad. The batting department will be led by Rachin Ravindra while Davon Conway and Shivam Dube also will have to shoulder added responsibility.

The Mumbai Indians management entrusted Hardik Pandya with the leadership baton but he will be serving a one-match ban and Suryakumar Yadav will deputies in his absence.
