England's Crisis Further Deepens, Star Bowler Could Be Ruled Out Of Champions Trophy 2025
England have suffered another setback as a star bowler is set to be ruled out of the Champions Trophy as per reports.
Ahead of their must-win tie against Afghanistan in the Champions Trophy, England have received a major blow. Jos Buttler's side lost their opening fixture against Australia and are in dire need of a win in the next game.
England Pacer Could Be Ruled Out Of Champions Trophy
Brydon Carse could be ruled out of the Champions Trophy as per reports. The England quick is all set to miss the important clash against Afghanistan and as per ESPN Cricinfo he might not play a part in the marquee event anymore. Carse didn't take part in the practice session on Monday due to a left toe injury which has been a persistent problem throughout his cricket career.
His struggle was visible against Australia and he gave away 69 runs in just 7 overs paving out a historic win for Australia. England have not done well in the last two ICC tournaments and they will seek a much-needed redemption this time.
As per ESPN, Carse faced issues with his toe during the recent tour of India and he had to sit out the last two ODI matches. It is reported, that the injury may have gone too far and it might need further attention in a bid to avert any further disruption.
Joe Root insisted they will have to assess the situation of Carse's injury. As quoted by BBC Sport he said, 'We will have to wait and see. There is still a good way out from the game, to find exactly what is up with Carsey. We will see how things pan out over the next few days.'

Coming to the game, riding on Ben Duckett's excellent 165 England posted a whopping 351 runs on the board. Fresh from their 3-0 thrashing at the hands of India, the Three Lions exhibited some free flowing batting form in Lahore. But Australia had some other plans. Jos Inglis led the way from the front as the Aussies completed a brilliant turnaround to chase the target with 15 balls left.
