'He Has To Change': Sourav Ganguly Gives RAZOR SHARP Verdict On KL Rahul Amidst Bad Run Of Form

KL Rahul has been having a bad run of form for quite some time now which has seen him be removed from the playing 11 in India's test match series against New Zealand after the first test. KL Rahul has not featured for India ever since but is a part of the squad for the upcoming Border Gavaskar series which will see India take on the mighty Australians in a five match test series in Australia. KL Rahul was also released by his IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants just a few days ago.  

Amidst all of this bad run of form and luck, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has given sharp criticism and some advice to KL Rahul which could help the batter get back to his best self. 

Sourav Ganguly's Criticism On KL Rahul 

Sourav Ganguly while speaking to Revsportz, said that Rahul is lacking confidence and he needs to get the faith back in his abilities.  

"Yeah, confidence. He has to speak to himself. He has to speak to himself and say, just put everything behind. Ups and downs are part and parcel of sports. Confidence will go up and down. You have to bring it back by working hard in the nets. I know he has gone through a lot. Lucknow Super Giants have released him," said Sourav Ganguly.

Sourav Ganguly further added that KL Rahul has to get back to his own before his time runs out and youngsters swoop in to take his place. 

‘He Has Got To Sit With Himself'- Sourav Ganguly 

"In and out of the team, he is seeing young players play well in T20s. You see what they have done in South Africa. He has to change and cannot keep playing the same way and expect to be picked all the time, because somebody else will come and get picked. So, I think he has got to sit with himself and get away from everything, all his friends and family, team and IPL owners, auctions and self-discover," said Sourav Ganguly as he gave some words of advice to KL Rahul.

KL Rahul will have a chance to prove himself as India will be playing Australia in their five match test series.
