'INJURED' Hardik Pandya to Miss ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final in Dubai? Ex-India Cricketer Shares Jaw-Dropping Reaction
ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Once Virat Kohli perished and things got a little tense, Hardik Pandya came up with the goods to take the side over the line.
Champions Trophy 2025: It finally boiled down to Hardik Pandya on Tuesday against Australia. Things got a little tricky once Virat Kohli perished, but Pandya held his cool and hit a few sixes to take the pressure of the dressing-room. But, during his knock he looked extremely uncomfortable even while hitting the sixes. It seemed like he was having a knee issue.
Pandya hit a breezy 28 off 24 balls which was good enough to seal the deal for India. But what about his injury? Will he be fit to play the final? Or will he sit out? If he has to miss the summit clash, it would be such a pity. There is no official confirmation on that as yet.
Amid all kinds of speculations, former India cricketer Yograj Singh has responded to it. As per Yograj, fans should be positive about his chances of featuring in the final.
‘Cricket is a religion in our country’
"Cricket is a religion in our country. When these players, who give their blood and sweat for us, when they fall, pick them up, when they feel sad, console them, when they cannot walk, then lift them on your shoulders. Hardik's knee was twisted. But he scored some sixes and stood for his country. People should learn from this. He did get himself a runner. People should be positive, irrespective of win or loss. If you keep talking down on a player, he goes down forever," he told ANI.
"Virat is a match-winner. But I feel sad because that shot was unnecessary. He should have finished the match. He is like a son to me. He could have done a century and had India lost, it would have been wasted. He changed the game today. I would like to say this to people who criticise Virat, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, that they should stop, become your child's support so that we keep make progress," Yograj added.
CT 25 FINAL
Rohit Sharma-led Team India do not know whom will they play in the all-important final. That would be confirmed by Wednesday night after South Africa play New Zealand.
The summit clash would take place on March 9 in Dubai.
