IPL 2024: Full list of players retained and released by Royal Challengers Bangalore

With the presence of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Faf Du Plessis in the side, Royal Challengers Bangalore are likely to contend for the title once again in IPL 2024. On the day when all the 10 franchises were required to factor in a document in which the list of retained and released players was supposed to get attached, RCB fulfilled the directive and named the players of both sorts. 

Aside from Kohli, Maxwell, and Du Plessis, Dinesh Karthik is one more veteran who has yet again found a place in the side. Mahipal Lomror, who had a breakthrough IPL 2022 season has been retained, and the set of youngsters such as Anuj Rawat and Suyash Prabhudesai have also been included in the retention list. 

Among all the sides, it is RCB's released list that has raised many eyebrows. Wanindu Hasaranga, who has proven to be a premier wicket-taker for the team has shown the way out. Also, the former Purple Cap winner Harshal Patel has been released by RCB. Courtesy of the immense cutout, RCB gets a huge inflow of capital. In the coming auction, the franchise will have Rs. 40.75 crore in their purse to spend.
