Champions Trophy 2025: Star New Zealand batter Rachin Ravindra showcased a magnificent performance in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025, scoring 226 runs from three matches in the tournament. The youngster is also the second-highest run-getter in the CT 2025. In the upcoming final match of the Champions Trophy 2025, Team India will be keeping a close eye on the Kiwi batter and will try to dismiss him as early as possible before he becomes a threat to them.
Michael Atherton Heaps Praise on Rachin Ravindra
While speaking to Sky Sports, former England cricketer Michael Atherton heaped praise on Ravindra and called him one of the "brightest young talents" in the game. Atherton added that England's Harry Brook and Indian top-order batter Yashasvi Jaiswal are going to be cricket legends in the next generation.
"Rachin Ravindra is one of the brightest young talents in the game. We say similar about Harry Brook, and there's Yashasvi Jaiswal too with India, these are the guys who are going to be among the handful of the next generation of greats," Atherton said as quoted by Sky Sports.

Ravindra made his ODI debut in March 2023 against Sri Lanka, where he played a 49-run knock from 52 balls at a strike rate of 94.23. In ODIs, the 25-year-old has appeared in 32 ODI matches and scored 1196 runs at a strike rate of 108.72. He slammed five centuries and four fifties in the 50-over format.
Rachin Ravindra's Dominating Performance In CT 2025
Ravindra failed to make it into the playing eleven in the opening match of the tournament between New Zealand and Pakistan. However, the 25-year-old made a solid comeback against Bangladesh. He scored 112 runs from 105 balls at a strike rate of 125.00 in their second group-stage fixture. Ravindra failed to maintain consistency in the ongoing tournament. He scored just six runs from 12 balls against Team India in their final group stage fixture on March 2.
In the knockout stage of the tournament, New Zealand faced South Africa, where Ravindra put up a show, scoring 105 runs from 101 balls at a strike rate of 106.93, helping the Black Caps clinch a 50-run triumph in Lahore.
