Exclusive/ Republic Confronts Shama Mohamed Over Her Shameful Remarks On Rohit Sharma, INC Spokesperson Continues To Defend Her Remarks
Indian National Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed insulted and fat-shamed Rohit Sharma. Mohamed also questioned Rohit's credentials as the skipper
Rohit Sharma Row: Indian National Congress Shama Mohamed continues to defend her shameful remarks on Rohit Sharma . Mohamed had fat-shamed the Indian captain during the India vs New Zealand Group A Champions Trophy clash. The Republic Media Network confronted Mohamed and asked her about her remarks, but surprisingly, she still continues to defend her shameful remarks on the Indian captain. The congress spokesperson was completely unapologetic and she showed no signs of remorse.
Shama Mohamed Defends Shameful Remarks
What has been more baffling is the fact that the spokesperson has defended her comments and she feels that it was generic in nature. She also went to extent of questioning India's democracy and freedom of speech. Shama's comments have surely left the Congress party embarrassed and as always, they are in a dire need to set things right, but this time that damage is way too big.
Responding to the Congress spokesperson, her BJP counterpart Shehzad Poonawalla claimed that those who once opposed the country are now targeting the Indian cricket team.
‘Those who have lost 90 elections’ - Poonawalla Slams Congress
"Those who have lost 90 elections under the captaincy of Rahul Gandhi are calling the captaincy of Rohit Sharma unimpressive!" said Poonawalla.
He added, “I guess 6 ducks in Delhi and 90 election losses is impressive but winning the T20 World Cup isn’t! Rohit has a brilliant track record as captain by the way!"
Republic media will keep tracking this developing story. For all updates relating to the story, Republic is the place to be.
Meanwhile, the Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, would now take on Australia in the semi-final and that promises to be a cracker in Dubai.
India, given their current form, may have a slight edge over their opposition.
