ICC CT 2025: India captain Rohit Sharma is arguably the best white-ball batter of the generation and on Thursday against Bangladesh he showed glimpses of it during his quickfire knock. Rohit hit a breezy 41 off 36 balls to set the tone for the 229 chase. Eventually, India won the game comfortably by six wickets. While India started the game as overwhelming favourites and lived up to the tag was commendable.

The Dubai pitch which was expected to get better to bat on in the evening seemed to be slowing down and that puzzled the plaudits and fans. And with this kind of a pitch, will there be a change in the playing XI? India take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the most-awaited cricket match of the calendar. How will the pitch play? Rohit answered this. The Indian captain reckoned it would be similar to the one used for the Bangladesh game.

“Not sure, but it will be pretty much similar I guess. I am not the curator here to tell you how exactly it will play but looks like it with the way the games have been played here,” Rohit Sharma said at the post-match presentation.

INDIA BEAT BANGLADESH BY 6 WICKETS

It was a clinical show by Team India on Thursday as they cruised to a six-wicket win. Mohammed Shami with the ball and Shubman Gill with the bat were the chief architects of the win. While Shami picked up five wickets to send a warning to Pakistan, Gill did the same with the bat, as he hit an unbeaten hundred to take the side over the line. With the win, India strengthen their chances of making the semi-final. Only two teams from both groups would go through. And hence, every game in this competition is important.
