ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Virat Kohli is a global cricketing ambassador already and a lot is expected of him every time he steps onto the field. Like always, spotlight is usually on Kohli, to try and capture all his emotions. On Tuesday when India took on Australia, everyone knew the wicket of Travis Head is the key. 

Head perished after scoring 39 off 33 balls. He was dismissed just when he looked settled. Once Varun Chakravarthy removed Head, Kohli could not keep a lid over his emotions. Kohli exactly knew what the wicket meant and his reaction sums it up well. The cameras panned towards Kohli, who gave an abusive send-off to the Australian opener. Earlier, Australia won the toss and opted to bat. The Steve Smith-led Australian team has made two changes to their XI. For Australia, Cooper Connolly comes in for Short, Tanveer Sangha comes in for Spencer Johnson. At the time of filing the copy, Australia were 72 for two in 14 overs. Connolly and Travis Head have been dismissed. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne are in the middle.

During the game against Australia, Kohli has a lots to forward to. Just by stepping on the field, Kohli became only the third Indian player after MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar to feature in 50 ODI matches against Australia. Indian captain Rohit Sharma stands at 46 ODI games while Ravindra Jadeja has featured in 45 matches so far.

When India come out to chase the target, Kohli would again be an important character in it. He has been in good form in the ongoing Champions Trophy and he would be expected to rise the occasion again.
