IND vs PAK: It was a night to forget for Mohammed Rizwan and his Pakistan team after their loss to India in the Champions Trophy 2025 match. Pakistan lost the game against India by six wickets and that drew massive reactions from fans. Not just fans, even plaudits slammed the Men in Green for their shambolic show. Now, former Pakistan legend Wasim Akram has hilariously described the state of cricket in Pakistan with a phrase.

‘Tu aur gareeb ho jayega, tu bahut gareeb ho jayega’ - Akram

“Ek aadmi najoomi ke paas jaata hai. Apna hath dikhata hai ke apne future ke baare me puchta hai. Najoomi hath dekhtar kehta hai ki tu gareeb hai, tu aur gareeb ho jayega, tu bahut gareeb ho jayega. Fir tujhe aadat ho jayegi. Hum sabko bhi aadat ho gayi hai,” Akram said this on Pakistan's Sports Central that had fellow panelists Ajay Jadeja, Nikhil Chopra, and Waqar Younis in splits.

'Whenever you lose, it means you didn't perform in all departments' - Rizwan

"We won the toss, but we didn't get the benefit of toss. We thought 280 was a good score on this pitch. In middle overs, their bowlers bowled very well and got our wickets. Me and Saud Shakeel, we took time because we wanted to take it deep. After that, wrong, poor shot selection. They put us under pressure and that's why we were squeezed to 240. Whenever you lose, it means you didn't perform in all departments," Rizwan said at the post-match presentation.

With two consecutive losses, Pakistan are all but knocked out of the mega event. It is a big setback for the hosts to become the first team to be knocked out of the semi-final race. Pakistan still have a game against Bangladesh , which they need to win with a huge margin.
