Shweta Sehrawat has been sold to UP Warriorz for INR 40 lakh. She was India's vice-captain at the ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup 2023.

India U-19 speedster Titas Sadhu has been sold to DC for INR 25 lakh.

U-19 T20 World Cup-wining player Parshavi Chopra has been sold to UP Warriorz for INR 10 lakh.

India U-19 Women's cricketer Soumya Tiwari remained unsold.

19-year-old Indian wicketkeeper Hrishita Basu remained unsold.

Marizanne Kapp has been bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 1.10 crore.

India allrounder Sneh Rana was bought by Gujarat Giants for INR 75 lakh.

Australia's Meg Lanning has been sold to DC for INR 1.1 crore.

Star Indian batter Jemimah Rodrigues became the first buy for DC, as they spent INR 2.20 crore to acquire her services.

Smriti Mandhana was the first player to go under the hammer and was roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 3.40 crore.

New Zealand captain Sophie Divine was bought by RCB at her base price of INR 50 lakh.

UP Warriorz added the first player to their team with a bid of INR 1.80 crore for England's Sophie Ecclestone.

West Indies allrounder Hayley Matthews remained unsold at the WPL 2023 Auction. She had a base price of INR 40 lakh.

Gujarat Giants bought Australia's Ashleigh Gardner for INR 3.220 crore.

Ellyse Perry was bought by RCB for an amount of INR 1.70 crore.

Mumbai Indians bought Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur with the highest bid of INR 1.80 crore.

The Women's Premier League 2023 Auction has kicked off in Mumbai. 

A total of 448 cricketers will go under the hammer at the players auction. Out of the 448 players, 270 are Indians and 178 are overseas players of which eight players are from associate nations. 

• Each team can rope in a minimum of 15 players and a maximum of 18 players at the auction
• Each team is allowed to buy a maximum of six overseas players at the auction
• Each team will have a maximum purse of INR 12 crore
• 448 players feature in the final auction list for the WPL 2023
• Out of the 448, 270 players are Indians
• A total of 24 players feature in the list of players with the maximum base price of INR 50 lakhs
• Out of the 24, 10 Indian players have a base price of INR 50 lakhs

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) Auction 2023 is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM IST on Monday.

Each team is allowed to but a maximum of 18 players at the auction and a minimum of 15 players at least. It is expected that a total of 90 players will be sold at the auction. It is pertinent to mention that six overseas players are required to feature in squads of every team.

Gujarat Giants (Adani Group), UP Warriorz (Capri Globals), Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals are the five participating teams in the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023. BCCI sold the rights to own the WPL teams for a whopping 4669.99 crore.

Each team will head into the players' auction with a total purse value of INR 12 crore.
