CWC 2023: Ben Stokes narrates narrow escape from autorickshaw accident in India
English cricket team all-rounder while speaking in an interview revealed his escape from a horrific accident in India during the ODI World Cup 2023.
The English cricket team faced its third straight defeat in the ODI World Cup 2023 and lost to Sri Lanka in its recent match. Jos Buttler and Co. lost the match by eight wickets and are placed on the ninth spot in the CWC 2023 points table. The defending champions have not played like champions and none of the star players have impressed with their performance. All-rounder Ben Stokes, who came into the side after reversing his retirement decision is also on the list of non-performing players.

Ben Stokes and Liam Livingstone reveal horrific autorickshaw accident in New Delhi
England are not having a pretty good time in India, whether it's on the field or off the field. Ben Stokes, who came out of ODI retirement to help his team retain their world champion title suffered a horrific auto-rickshaw accident along with teammate Liam Livingstone. Stokes narrated the whole incident in the video uploaded on his official Instagram handle. However, Stokes, Livingstone and coach Andrew Mitchell escaped the accident. Ben Stokes said on the The Athlete’s Voice by 4CAST:
So, me and Livi [Liam Livingstone] are pretty big lads, and we also had our strength and conditioning coach, Mitch, who is even bigger than us. Now, tuk-tuk’s aren’t very big. So, you can imagine that we were pretty squashed in the back of his tuk-tuk. This is the one I got… We were just running up to the roundabout here. Does not slow down and, yeah, there he goes!.

England to face mighty India in next CWC 2023 match
The English cricket team will be facing the unbeaten Indian cricket team in its next CWC 2023 match on October 29 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The Indian cricket team has been performing really well in the tournament so far and displayed brilliant cricket in all the departments. England on the other hand has a lot to think and it can very difficult for them to defeat the hosts.
