Australia continue winning momentum with 62 run win over Pakistan
The Australian cricket team, while batting first, achieved a gigantic total of 367/9 courtesy of centuries from openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh. Warner, on one end, played an innings off 163 runs from 124 balls with 14 fours and nine sixes. On the other hand, Marsh smashed 121 runs from 108 balls which included 10 fours and nine sixes. The duo also added 259 runs for the first wicket and laid a strong foundation for a big first-innings score. Every Pakistani pacer was taken to the cleaners other than Shaheen Shah Afridi, who ended the match with a five-wicket haul.

Chasing the target, Pakistan got off to a steady start and opener Imam ul-Haq (70) and Abdullah Shafique (64) put up 134 run for the first wicket. Apart from the openers, Mohammad Rizwan played an innings of 47 runs whereas no other batsman was able to stay at the crease for long. Australian leg spinner Adam Zampa picked up a four-wicket haul and didn't allow Pakistan to come back into the match. At the end, Pakistan faced a second consecutive loss in the ODI World Cup 2023.
