Rohit Sharma and Co. have proved the only dominant team in the ODI World Cup 2023 so far and have won five out of five games. The ‘Men in Blue’ have shown total team performance in every match of the tournament and five different players have won Player of the Match in each game. Team India batter Virat Kohli is the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament with a total of 354 runs from five matches. This also includes a ton against Bangladesh. Team India will be up against England in its next Cricket World Cup 2023 match.

Team India management try ‘out of the box’ tactics to avoid Hardik Pandya's absence 

Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya will miss the India vs England CWC 2023 clash after suffering from an ankle strain in the match against Bangladesh. Hardik is an eminent part of the team and also provides the option for an extra fourth seamer. With Pandya expected to be ruled out from the next two to three games, the Indian management is trying out tactics to avoid his presence. 

In a video that is going viral on the internet, Team India batter Virat Kohli was seen bowling to captain Rohit Sharma in the nets ahead of the India vs England match. Virat came into complete Hardik Pandya's over during the match against Bangladesh. The Indian batter has shown his bowling quite often in international cricket and has also picked up wickets. With Hardik all set to miss the next few games, Virat is not a bad option for a sixth bowler if it is needed. Apart from Virat, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav also tried their hands on bowling.

The Indian cricket team will be aiming to continue its unbeaten streak as they will be taking England in their next CWC 2023 match. The Indian team management might bring in Ravichandran Ashwin in the side due to the nature of the Ekana Stadium pitch. The Indian team is doing well in all departments and has become a premier contender to lift the ODI World Cup trophy for the 3rd time.
