MCA release statement over continuous backlash from fans

After facing a lot of criticism and backlash from the fans on social media, the Maharashtra Cricket Association president Rohit Pawar has offered a statement into the matter. As per Pawar, all the management was under the ICC norms and no intervention can be done in the process. Pawar further added that there were 43 acres of land taken on rent for the parking of vehicles whereas the stadium in total has a total capacity of parking 8,000 four-wheelers and 15,000 two-wheelers.

The stadium can seat 37,400 people. We have arranged for parking of 8,000 four-wheelers and 15,000 two-wheelers, which is much more than the stadium’s capacity. We’ve taken nearly 43 acres on rent and also on a friendly basis from villagers. This is being done as per ICC norms. We can’t intervene in this process.
