Rohit Sharma fails to convert his innings into a big one as he fall very cheaply for 47 in the Cricket World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The hugely anticipated Cricket World Cup final between India and Australia is in full swing at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This venue has already witnessed the IPL 2023 final and another sporting spectacle is unfolding at this magnificent venue. Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and sent Rohit Sharma and Co to bat first.

Travis Head takes brilliant catch to dismiss Rohit Sharma
The home side made a pretty good start as Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill did provide a good start before Gill was caught at mid on as he failed to live up to the expectations in the summit clash. Rohit continued his onslaught as he has been throughout the World Cup but a moment of lapse saw him throwing a wicket to part time bowler Glenn Maxwell. Rohit took ten runs from the first two balls of Maxwell and aimed for further glory in the third ball. The ball spun towards the outside and Rohit had a leading edge as the ball went high in the air.

Travis Head ran backwards a few yards from the cover point and dived to take a brilliant catch. Rohit got out for just 47 runs which could prove to be a very handy if Team India manages to post a competitive total on the board.
