It will be interesting to see if these teams continue with their great performances and book their place in the semifinals.

Mitchell Santner is leading the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Fielding Impact Race

At the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, Mitchell Santner has proven his adaptability by outperforming his teammates and taking the lead in terms of having a big influence on the pitch. The New Zealand all-rounder's impact on the field extends beyond his meagre four catches in six games; he has created a lasting impression in several other fielding categories as well.

Santner has a total of nine runs saved, which speaks something about his acute fielding abilities. He also scores very well in areas like pressure ratings, accurate throws, and attempted runouts.

As a consequence, after six World Cup matches for each side, Santner has a little advantage in the battle for overall fielding influence. David Warner of Australia and David Miller of South Africa are his closest rivals.

After three games for each squad, Virat Kohli was the team leader at first. Nevertheless, Ravindra Jadeja has jumped up to fifth place, forcing the Indian batsman to drop to sixth place in the current standings.

This implies that India has two players placed in the top 10 for fielding ratings, while Australia is the only other side to have two of their players - Warner (third) and Glenn Maxwell (eighth) - represented in the top 10.
