Indian Super League Confirms Dates for 2024-25 Season Playoffs; Championship Match Scheduled for April 12
At the ISL playoffs, 6 teams have confirmed their spots. The race to the final has become intriguing, and it all comes down to April 12, 2025.
After the conclusion of the league stage, the Indian Super League unveiled the dates for the 2024-25 playoffs. The knockouts will take place first, and it will lead to a two-legged semifinal, which will lead to the summit clash. Six teams have confirmed their spots in the playoff race, and it will come down to two in the championship clash. The race to the final has become intriguing like never before, and it will all come down on April 12, 2025.
The ISL's Final Episode: Six Teams To Battle For Coveted Title
At the Indian Super League, six teams — Mohun Bagan SG, FC Goa , Bengaluru FC, NorthEast United FC, Jamshedpur FC and Mumbai City FC — have secured themselves a spot in the playoffs race. The knockout stage is set to happen on March 29 and 30, leading to the semifinals on April 2, 3, 6 & 7. The teams who are ranked third to sixth (Bengaluru FC, NorthEast United FC, Jamshedpur FC and Mumbai City FC) will lock horns in two single-legged knockout clashes to determine their spot in the semifinal. Mohun Bagan SG and FC Goa have directly found a spot in the Semis since they are ranked at number one and two, respectively.
The semifinals will take place in the home & away format, and the victors of both legs will battle it out for the summit clash, which will take place on April 12 at the home venue of the top-ranked club in the league table.
This year, MBSG are the top favourites to win the title after they made history by clinching the ISL Shield for the second consecutive season. They are now the first football club to do so.
