Lionel Messi Misses Second Consecutive Game For Inter Miami After Not Being Included In CONCACAF Champions Cup Match
Inter Miami are currently playing their CONCACAF RO16 match against Cavalier SC but are missing Lionel Messi from their squad.
Quite easily the greatest player of all time Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami after his stint at Paris Saint Germain. As Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami, he has continued to perform at his best level and has taken the American leagues by storm. Inter Miami are currently playing their match against Cavalier S.C. in the CONCACAF Champions Cup round of 16 match but they are missing a key player as Lionel Messi is absent from the team for the second game in a row.
Lionel Messi Misses Second Consecutive Game For Inter Miami
Lionel Messi has missed his second consecutive game for Inter Miami as the star player is currently sitting out Inter Miami's CONCACAF RO16 match. He also missed Inter Miami's MLS match against the Houston Dynamo which was own despite Messi not playing.
Messi practiced with his Inter Miami teammates on Tuesday and Wednesday but did not feature in the matches for the team.
Mascherano Assures Messi Not Injured After Missing 2 Games
Inter Miami's coach Javier Mascherano on Wednesday assured that Lionel Messi was not injured despite him not playing back to back matches for Inter Miami. He further stated that Messi's availability was similar to others players on the Inter Miami roster.
According to speculations, the reason for Messi missing out on back to back games could be due to Inter Miami's extremely tight schedule as the club is playing four matches in a span of just 11 days. It started with the MLS match against Houston Dynamo. Following the Dynamo match, Inter Miami is currently playing against Jamaican side Cavalier SC.
Inter Miami after that will play in the MLS once again against Charlotte FC and then end the tight schedule with their second leg match against Cavalier SC.
Amidst all of this it remains to be seen whether Lionel Messi will feature in the upcoming games for Inter Miami.
