In a shocking incident, at least 10 people were killed and dozens more injured after a massive explosion tore through a military barracks in Viacha, Bolivia, roughly 30 km from La Paz. The blast occurred around 2:30 pm local time in an area used to store pyrotechnic material, with officials confirming it originated from the defense ministry's fireworks stockpile.

Firefighters have warned that a heat source remains active at the site, raising fears of another explosion, and have urged residents to stay at least 150 metres away as authorities work to assess the damage and determine the exact cause of the blast.
