Bangladesh's Former Prime Minister, Khaleda Zia, Dies At 80 Due To Prolonged Illness.
Bangladesh's first female Prime Minister, Khaleda Zia, who was also the chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), died on December 30, 2025, due to a prolonged ailment. Khaleda Zia was under treatment at Dhaka's Evercare Hospital for the last 36 days.
Khaleda Zia was the Bangladesh PM from 1991 to 1996 & from 2001 to 2006. According to her doctors, Khaleda had advanced cirrhosis of the liver, arthritis, diabetes, and chest and heart problems. Watch the full video for more.
