China is supplying Pakistan with the Hangor-class submarine, a diesel-electric vessel with AIP meant to extend underwater endurance. Marketed as a major boost, it is still export-grade, lacking the stealth and sensor sophistication of advanced submarines. For India, this is no threat—its layered ASW network with P-8I aircraft, Kamorta corvettes, MH-60R Seahawks, and Scorpene-class submarines ensures Pakistan’s Hangor-class remains detectable and outmatched.
