How Israel Executed Airstrikes on Iran Without Losing a Single Jet

Israel launched one of its largest-ever airstrikes against Iran, involving approximately 200 fighter jets in what the Israeli Defense Forces described as the biggest aerial operation in its history. The joint campaign—codenamed "Roaring Lion" by Israel and "Operation Epic Fury" by the U.S.—targeted around 500 sites, focusing on air defense systems, ballistic missile launchers, production facilities, and command centers across provinces including Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, Karaj, and Kermanshah. The assault began in the early morning hours with Israeli jets taking off from domestic bases, achieving air superiority by striking and degrading Iran's Russian-supplied defenses and missile infrastructure in a synchronized wave. U.S. forces contributed with naval-launched missiles and additional strikes on nuclear-related and military targets. The operation resulted in significant degradation of Iran's offensive capabilities, with reports confirming the deaths of high-level figures, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.Iran retaliated by firing missiles and drones at Israel and U.S. bases in the region, but Israeli aircraft returned safely with no losses reported in the initial phase. The strikes marked a dramatic escalation amid long-standing tensions over Iran's nuclear and missile programs.
