Iranian President Warns Of A War Amid Nationwide Protests, Trump Throws Threats

As the country's currency continues to decline, public indignation is rising throughout Iran, leading demonstrators to publicly demand the replacement of the current government. In streets and shops, protesters yelled anti-government chants as the Iranian rial fell to all-time lows, causing prices and inflation to soar. 

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on December 31, 2025, that Tehran was engaged in a "full-scale war" with its adversaries while addressing an economic crisis that had caused widespread demonstrations across the nation.
